About Astro Fest 2026
Astro-Fest 2026 – Global Aerospace & Astronomy Festival for Schools
Astro-Fest 2026 is a global Aerospace and Astronomy education festival conducted annually between April and August for school students. The program is organized by Spacetrix Aerospace Education & Research Organization, a registered Space Tutor of ISRO, and focuses on experiential learning in Astronomy, Aerospace, Aeronautics, and Astronautics.
Astro-Fest is conducted directly at school campuses, with program dates finalized in coordination with the school management.
Learn Aerospace & Astronomy Through Hands-On Activities
As part of Astro-Fest 2026, students explore aerospace and astronomy concepts through interactive, hands-on activities designed to make learning practical, engaging, and memorable.
Students will learn aerospace & astronomy through:
Hands-on science activities and live demonstrations
Telescope handling, alignment, and basic observation techniques
Understanding how to set up, align, and use a telescope correctly
Tracing the night sky using star maps and mobile sky-mapping tools
Learning how to identify constellations, planets, and major celestial objects
Astronomy-from-home opportunities, enabling students to continue sky observation beyond the classroom
Introduction to asteroid search and citizen science campaigns, showing how students can contribute to real scientific discoveries
These activities help students develop scientific observation skills, critical thinking, and curiosity while experiencing astronomy as a practical science rather than just theory.
Explore Moon & Mars Missions – Past, Present, and Upcoming
During Astro-Fest 2026, students will explore ongoing and upcoming space missions related to the Moon and Mars, including:
NASA’s Artemis Moon Mission
ISRO’s Gaganyaan Human Spaceflight Mission
ISRO’s Mangalyaan-2 Mars Mission
Other upcoming international lunar and interplanetary missions
Students gain insight into how missions are planned, launched, and operated, and understand the future of human and robotic space exploration.
Virtual Reality Experience: Walk on the Moon & Mars
A major highlight of Astro-Fest 2026 is the immersive Virtual Reality (VR) space experience, where students can:
Virtually walk on the Moon
Explore the terrain of Mars
Experience what astronauts see during space missions
This VR-based space education significantly improves concept clarity and student engagement.
Ancient & Modern Astronomy, Space Travel & Astronautics
The Astro-Fest curriculum also covers:
Ancient astronomy and Indian astronomical heritage
Modern astronomy and space telescopes
Rocket science and space travel basics
Aerospace engineering fundamentals
Astronaut training and life in space
All topics are delivered in an age-appropriate, interactive, and curriculum-aligned format.
Why Astronomy & Aerospace Education Matters
Astronomy helps explain everything we observe in the Universe—from planets and asteroids in our solar system to distant galaxies and the Big Bang. Learning aerospace and space science enables students to:
Understand the origin and evolution of the Universe
Develop interest in STEM careers
Learn how physics works in extreme space environments
Become future scientists, engineers, and space professionals
Astro-Fest 2026 aims to ignite curiosity, foster innovation, and inspire the next generation of explorers.
Register Your School for Astro-Fest 2026
